Hey guys, this post doesn’t really have much of an educational value so I apologize in advance. I’m sitting in my white-walled kitchen typing away at 3:36 AM, and am honestly really content with my life. For quite a while, I have been trying to work at this whole writing thing with the hopes that I can make a living out of it. At this current point, I can and though I am exhausted (I’ve been up all night writing blog posts for clients) I am really happy that I can show my family that all of the hours are actually worth it.
Just in case you are wondering, no I haven’t gotten a book deal, though I am still trying. I have finally gotten to the point that I am earning more money freelance writing, than I have ever earned at any job, and it is enough that it will actually be a pretty big pay cut when I have to start working as High School English Teacher this upcoming fall. (I have already signed a contract, and honestly, I don’t really want to back out of it.)
—I’m a writer; all I have is my word.
My plan is to continue freelancing all the way up until I start teaching, and talk to my clients to see if they would be open to working with me if I started a Content Marketing Agency. I would still want to write on my time off, but I couldn’t handle two full-time jobs without some help. If they are down, I will probably be reaching out to some of you guys and see if you would want to write some articles for me. (I would definitely pay, btw, though I am not sure about the rates yet).
Anyways, this is still a few months off, but I wanted to type this while I have a minute and go ahead and get it scheduled. Thanks for reading my short ramblings, and next week we will jump back in with a more educational topic. I hope you guys are having an awesome day, and if you haven’t signed up for the newsletter, you are missing out on a chance to win a writer’s toolkit (check out the link and scroll to the bottom of the post in order to see everything that will be given away.)
